Phi Theta Kappa extends invitation
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society that helps students improve their leadership skills, provides opportunities for service and fellowship and offers scholarships exclusive to their members.
Paradise Valley Community College’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Omicron Chi, wants you to join and take advantage of these opportunities and become a part of its community.
If you have completed 12 credit hours of 100 level college course work or above and have achieved a 3.5 GPA while still enrolled in 6 credits, you can become a member and run for one of several officer positions in our chapter, or you can become a member and participate in chapter activities as your schedule allows.
The club’s “formal induction ceremony” for the new members this semester is on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011 at 5 p.m. in the Student Union located in the KSC Building next to the Student Life Center.
There are over $37 million in transfer scholarships available at almost 700 four-year colleges and universities that only Phi Theta Kappa members can receive.Phi Theta Kappa members can also utilize College Fish, an online resource that helps them find transfer scholarships and assists in the transfer process.
The PVCC chapter also participates in service opportunities such as Relay for Life.Please join Phi Theta Kappa at its weekly meetings . Members are not required to attend.
Meetings are in KSC 212 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
