Phi Beta Lambda displays leadership, knowledge at conference

Taniel Agnerian, Jerome Pinacate and Winston Hewitt, members of PVCC’s Phi Beta Lambda Club, represented PVCC at the State Leadership Conference at ASU on March 28, 2009. Other schools that participated included: ASU, U of A, Embry Riddle Aeronautical, Devry Universities and Yavapai College-Verde.

“Students compete to earn rankings and to demonstrate their depth of knowledge,” wrote PBL adviser and Business IT faculty Bahman Maneshni in a PVCC memo.
Agnerian ranked 1st place in Accounting Principles and Financial Analysis and Decision Making tests. Hewitt ranked 3rd place in Accounting Principals Test. With the help of Norma Chandler, manager of Career Services, Pinacate ranked 1st place in Cyber Security Test and Job Interview Performance.
For the past five years, PVCC has been recognized among the nation’s top universities and colleges competing in Business/IT, writes Maneshni. They look forward to doing the same this year as they participate at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif. in June..
