Track performs well at home meet

The Pumas hosted the PVCC Outdoor Invitational, April 2 to 4, which consisted of three days of events.

The Pumas finished first in many events, including; Kennis Kirkpatrick in the women’s discuss throw, Tyson Rigby in the men’s javelin throw, Aaron Sherf in the 10,000-meter run, Jeremy Sudbery in the 1,500-meter run, Eric Harasyn in the 800-meter run, Lauren Cruzan in women’s pole vault and Jose Olague in the men’s decathlon.
Four Pumas topped the men’s steeple chase event, with Tailor Hasson taking home first, followed by Jeremy Sudbery, George Alex and Angel Sanchez.
“I’m excited for the good competition,” said Cruzan on the upcoming National Outdoor meet. “I am looking forward to beating my personal best.”
The Pumas will be taking part in Outdoor Nationals at the end of May. It will take place May 21 through May 23 in Hutchinson, Kan. |
