| Public Safety Mission |
The mission of the Public Safety Department at Paradise
Valley Community College is to provide assistance and security for people
on campus, protection of District and personal property, traffic control,
visitor assistance, operation of a lost and found function, loss prevention/reporting,
identification of safety hazards, and training/orientation of employees
and students.

Public Safety Update/Summary of Incidents/January 30 - February 5, 2012
Delayed Report: 1/28/12 12:30pm a student reported she left a gym bag containing her wallet, cell phone and an external drive, unattended in F building at 10:10am and that when she returned she found it was opened and her cell phone was missing. No other items were missing. Investigation continues.
1/30/12 3:07pm a student reported a Faculty member had passed out on the East side of the KSC building. A campus police officer responded and found the man was not breathing. Another campus police officer delivered an AED unit which was used with CPR until Phoenix Fire Dept. arrived. The individual was taken to a local hospital where he is recovering.
1/30/12 12:00pm a student reported that he left his cell phone unattended in M 232 while he went to a trash can and that when he returned his cell phone was missing. Attempts to locate the phone from others in the class were unsuccessful. The student later reported that he went to the restroom and when he returned person(s) unknown had put the missing cell phone inside his bag. Investigation closed.
2/1/12 9:30am a student reported that on 1/31/12 he locked his bicycle up to the J building bike rack at 10:20am and that when he returned at 9:00pm the bicycle was missing. CCTV images were obtained of a male subject taking the bicycle at 6:00pm. Investigation continues.
2/3/12 8:30am an employee reported his building keys lost while off campus. The employee returned on 2/6/12 to report that he has located his missing keys.
