Kranitz Student Center (KSC) Renovation Project
Excitement is building as Phase I of the Kranitz Student Center Remodel Project gets underway so many of you have probably noticed a frenzy of preparation activity taking place. By May 21st, relocation of offices, programs, and services should be complete for Phase I. Some minor improvements have already begun, such as the PVCC Bookstore and the IKON Center. Over the summer, the first phase of the renovation, which includes most of the offices on the first and second floor, will be completed.
The maps show temporarily relocated campus services, and the Construction Zone and how it affects traffic flow during the project. If you are seeking individuals or assistance from any of the service areas on the list below, we encourage you to call first to learn of their temporary location.
As you know, with all planning some changes will occur. We had originally planned the demolition of the roundabout and breezeway between the Kranitz Student Center and Administration Building for Memorial Weekend. Given all of the other activities, such as the planned power outage and the need for the construction crew to be in place, the demolition activities have been rescheduled for the week of July 2nd. This should minimize any major disruption to the campus and allow for appropriate signage to be put in place.
The first phase of the project is scheduled to conclude by August 4, 2012.
As a “Learning Centered College”, Paradise Valley Community College is pleased to be improving its facilities and services to strengthen its ability to deliver quality services to its students, faculty, staff, and community. We are excited about OUR future and look forward to serving you with excellence.KSC Project Team
