Pay for Print Saves Trees & Money

June 30, 2008 on 3:47 pm | In General Information | Comments Off

You have heard the rumors and have seen the signs. Effective July 7, there will be a fee to print documents from the Library and Computer Commons computers. The cost will be 10 cents per side of each black/white page and $1 per side of each color page. Enjoy a free trial period through July 6.

Your student ID card number is your printing account number and acts as a debit card. Through July 6, go through the new process of printing but without any fee. Stop by the Computer Commons for details and a demonstration.

As a result of this new pay for print program, beginning July 7 PVCC’S Computer Commons’ $15 per semester lab fee is being eliminated. It is estimated that the change from a fee system to “pay as you go” will save 4,000 sheets of paper a week. A small forest!

Also new in the PV computer world, the Library computer stations will offer the Microsoft Office Suite!
