Get Spooky for the United Way at the Howl-A-Palooza

Oct 23rd, 2008 by preston | 0

Have a howling good time at the Paradise Valley Community College Student Leadership Council’s Howl-A-Palooza Halloween Festival to benefit the United Way. From 6 to 10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 24, Halloween decorations transform the campus’s KSC Courtyard and Student Union, to create a fun time for everyone.

Enjoy face painting, a haunted house and live music performances. Costumes are encouraged! Take a chance on the many carnival games and prizes. It’s only $5 for 10 tickets, $10 for 25 and $15 gets you 40 tickets. Snap a funny picture with your friends at the photo booth or enjoy tempting treats from local vendors.

Enjoy the music of the Saul Kaye Band during the Howl-A-Palooza. Saul Kaye has visited PVCC several times, delighting students and staff with vocal stylings similar to Gavin DeGraw, TRAIN, Dave Matthews and John Mayer.

A cross of pop, funk, reggae, blues set-off with three part harmonies and an acoustic guitar, this bay area outfit was formed to promote the original songs of San Francisco Bay Area Emerging Artist Saul Kaye. He brings a singer-songwriters sensibility to his deep grooves and catchy melodies and his band adds the jam element that make their live shows electrifying.

“You’ve got a songwriter here who’s bound to turn some important heads.” – CD Baby

A regular touring group in the Western states of Arizona, California,Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Utah, The Saul Kaye Band has impressed audiences at every stop. With airplay on some of the major AAA stations round the country and more press for each show, Saul Kaye has “more potential than his home state” indie-musician.com.
