1. Reports & Amendments:

APB —A district budgeting team came in for a presentation on December 6. The district team was very impressed with the system we had devloped and dsicussed the system they were creating and they anticipated having the first phase up in about 18 months.

Ocotillo — Had a presentation on Intracal. May22 & 23 at PVCC & SMCC.. Bricks & Clicks is the theme. Jon formed an ad Hoc committee/project Team for Ocotillo at PVCC. Initial brainstorming suggested the committee include:

J. Storslee, C. Hart, R. Sheets, C. Durandet, J. Chavez, M. Shadburne, G. Quintana, and a rep from each division not yet represented.

Technology Fee Proposal — on hold for the moment.

Technology Training Survey —

Chrystle presented the results to date of the survey. Crosstabs were not working with Ken’s program. For many of the requests. Good response, Chrystle discussed the best time and topics from the survey.

Other -

John C. on M-Building teacher workstation discussion and concerns. Mary Lou offered to call the team which discussed the original equipment and suggested adding A. Hemingway and one or more from Math/Science.

Help Lab- Two weeks of Help Lab on Friday afternoons. No response first time, second week had several show up. No response to either focus group sesion.

II. General Technology Survey

Discussion points—

• Add additional desktop uses (e.g., dsktop Publishing & Prepare Lab Demos & Simultaions)
• Do we want theses to be anonymous? Do we want names? If we ask for names are we promising that something wil be done to followup on the information presented. Will demographics be of benefit?
• What demographics do we want?
• How specific or general do we want to be?
• Help desk assessment?
• Add à Given limited resources of funding, what suggestions do you have to maintain and improve our technology base
• Change the last question to: Are there tech tools that you as n instructor are unable to use to meet your learning outcomesbecause they are unavaiable or not supported? If yes, identify the tech tool(s) and/or support needed.
