Automated
Planning & Budgeting System (APB)
The APB System
is a tool that enables our college to benefit fully from the
effectiveness and efficiencies that flow from an integrated
planning, budgeting and institutional effectiveness process.
The APB System
responds to PVCC's commitment to becoming a more learning centered
college by:
- expanding
access to information relating to the college's planning and
budgeting processes
- sequencing
and standardizing the process for developing and submitting
planning, budgeting and institutional effectiveness forms
- facilitating
communication between the college's departments and work units
- presenting
the results (outputs) of planning, budgeting and institutional
effectiveness efforts to assist decision-makers, i.e. strategic
planning council, budget review committee, college administration
-
- The APB
System blends web-based technology with a practical "tool
box" approach to support division chairs and department
managers as they develop plans, establish budgets and assess
the effectiveness of PVCC's programs and services. The system
also facilitates the efforts of the college's business office
and contributes to the development of budget proposals for
submission to the MCCD Budget Office for consideration by
the MCCCD Financial Advisory Council.
