Georgina
(Gina) A. Kranitz
is currently serving as the interim President of Paradise Valley
Community college (PVCC), one of the Maricopa Community Colleges
in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to this post, she was Dean of Administrative
and Student Services from 1992-1999. she also served as the
Director of Business Services at South Mountain Community College
from 1980-1992 and at the Maricopa Community Colleges District
Business Office from 1975-1980.
Dr. Kranitz
is a member of the National Association of College and University
Business Officers (NACUBO) and currently serves (1999-2000)
as Chairman of the Board of Directors. She served as President
of the Western Association of College and University Business
Officers (WACUBO) in 1994-1995. Dr. Kranitz has completed the
NACUBO Executive Leadership Institute and participated in a
summer Institute for Women in Higher Education Administration
sponsored by Higher Education Resource Services and Bryn Mawr
College. She is also a member of the American Association of
Women in Community Colleges.
Civic memberships
include the North Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,
South Mountain Small Business Association, the Board of Directors
for the south Mountain YMCA, the arizona Women's Political Caucus
and the League of Women Voters. She was selected as one of the
top ten women in higher education in the state of Arizona in
1999 by the Arizona Women's Magazine and is a memberof Women
at the Top (WATT), a professional women's group in Phoenix.
Dr. Kranitz
has a bachelor of arts degree from Grand Valley State University,
a Masters of Education from Arizona State University, and a
doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University.
