3) SPT/PBRC Update:

Cathy informed us that presentations were made to the PBRC for capital technology and non-technology recommendations. Cathy presented for TCT (many thanks!). The PBRC voted to accept the recommendations as they were submitted and have been forwarded to President Kickels for approval. She is currently out of town, so it is hoped that we will learn of her final decision by the end of next week.

Also, for Adjunct faculty, educational development funding may be available based upon how many adjunct faculty members participate and types of projects chosen.

5) Technology Learning Opportunities:

Jennifer said that an End of Year report was given in PPT format. The PPT will be made available soon.

PVUSD invited Chrystle, Rick, and Jennifer for a 3 day training (June 1->3) on classroom tools (handhelds, etc.).

6) SoftChalk Update:

Jennifer informed us that a SoftChalk Perpetual Site License goes for $4500 (which includes campus-wide licensing, one year of support, and two PVCC dedicated staff members); SoftChalk 20 Perpetual User Licenses go for $2500; if we go with the 20 and decide before July 15 to go with a site license, the $2500 will be rolled into the $4500.

7) Wireless, Network Upgrade:

Please refer to the three handouts that were provided by Carol.

Wireless will be deployed (in the library, E-hallway, LSC) sometime before summer school starts. A feedback mechanism will be in place.

Refer to Carol's proposal "PVC Selected Building Rewiring Proposal" for a look at the three cost proposals. After discussion, the committee agreed to go with the Cost Model #3, which calls for 1 Cat 6 cable for each jack location. See document for $ specifics. Carol will write a final proposal to submit to Cathy to move forward using bond technology $.

New Network - CALENCE - see document provided by Carol.

Carol will keep us posted. Thank you, Carol, for a very thorough job!
