Members Present:

Issues/Items Discussed:

1) SPAM Update
Carol informed us that personnel at district have been informed of the SPAM problems we're experiencing at PVCC. SPAM problems are also occurring at Gateway and South Mountain.

Carol said that the SPAM is not originating from a machine on our network. It could be a home machine. Both image and text SPAM messages are getting through.

Carol recommends that you forward all your SPAM mail to spam.monitor@domail.maricopa.edu.

2) Wireless Status
Carol said that more access points have been installed in G and J buildings.

3) WebDev Update

4) School Server Bandwidth Issues
Kurt mentioned that with the new faculty he has, there is increased need for server space. (This issue was discussed last year). Carol said that with the new SAN coming (this calendar year), this issue will be remedied. Also, Chrystle mentioned that Impatica (software) can be used to compact files (available in LSC and training room E-148).

5) TCT Swott Analysis
Since we ended the meeting at 1:30P (due to Chancellor Glasper's meeting with the faculty at the same time), the SWOTT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats, and Trends) Analysis was once again tabled until our next meeting. HOWEVER, please take time between now and our next meeting to go over the TCT SWOTT Analysis sheet that was handed out at today's meeting. You can also access it at

The majority of our next meeting will be devoted to this.
