MISSION
STATEMENT |
| The Teacher Connection (TTC) is a collaborative effort to connect, and support students as they work toward careers in teaching. This Teacher Development Center Program reflects a commitment between the Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD), Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD), Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVUSD), Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC), and the ASU College of Teacher Education and Leadership (ASU CTEL) to inspire a diverse population of students to explore, pursue and excel in teaching careers. |

| OUTCOME
|
| Participants who successfully complete the program, obtain an Arizona teaching certificate, and have favorable recommendations from their cooperating teachers will be invited to participate in priority interviews for teaching positions in the Cave Creek Unified School District, Deer Valley Unified School District or the Paradise Valley Unified School District. |

| Goals
|
- Increase the number of highly qualified teacher candidates for the Cave Creek Unified School District, Deer Valley Unified School District and the Paradise Valley Unified School District.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and recruit a diverse student population.
- Develop focused activities that inspire students to explore careers in teaching.
- Provide support and guidance for students who are pursuing careers in teaching.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure ongoing communications and positive working relationships among partners.
- Develop and implement procedures to measure outcomes, evaluate successes, and make modifications.
