The Class6 Theater production

ReEntry

a documentary play about the Marine Corps
by K J Sanchez and Emily Ackerman
One performance only, Wednesday, November 21st at 7:30 pm
PVCC Center for Performing Arts, 18401 N 32nd St in Phoenix

ReEntry is a powerful, relevant documentary play about United States Marines returning from deployment.  All the dialogue in this show is taken directly from interviews with members of the United States Marine Corps and their families.  All names have been changed to respect confidentiality.  The result is a play very much like the USMC itself; full of pride, strength, humor, and a lack of sentimentality.  It cuts through the rhetoric and gives you the truth.

Production history includes the Walter Reed Medical Center, Parris Island Recruit Depot, and the Combat Stress Awareness conference in San Diego.

Come out and support our troops with a play that comes straight from the mouths of our veterans.

*Please be advised that this play contains strong adult language and content*

Tickets are on sale through the PVCC website  http://www.pvc.maricopa.edu/cpa

Adults $10     Students and Children $7     Veterans$0

C.A.S.T. (College Artists’ Society of Theatre), the theatre club at PVCC is proud to bring a professional theatre company back to the Center for Performing Arts at Paradise Valley Community College for its second year. Student Life has generously provided a grant to CAST to assist in its efforts to serve the community and to honor our veterans. An association with Class6 Theater Company started with Eric Schoen, its producing artistic director, with the companies’ founding. Last year, Class6 presented The Bible: the Complete Word of God (Abridged) at PVCC and was very well received, and CAST was happy to have one of its’ own, Sgt. Ryan Wentzel, in the cast.

All proceeds from the production benefit CAST in its effort to enhance the education of its members through workshops, professional associations, and activities.

This production will be the only professional theater production on campus this year and will be the first documentary play to be presented at the theater since 2007.
