How does it work?
When your commitment is fulfilled, you’ll receive an Educational Award that can be used at any college in the U.S. as well as some international schools. You may also use the Educational Award to pay off student loans and you may be eligible for reimbursement of any interest that has accrued during your service commitment.

Are there limitations to my community service?
Unfortunately, yes. Because Project Ayuda is a federally funded program, you may not volunteer in political activities, religious affairs, union activities, For-Profit businesses, some fundraising, or activities that pose significant safety risk to participants.

How can I find out the number of hours I have completed to date?
It’s a good idea to keep copies of all time sheets you submit for your own records. This will allow you to keep track of your hours and help us make corrections in the event we make a mistake, or we didn’t receive your time sheet. We can, however, provide you with information about your service commitment, how many hours you have completed to date and other information.
