Art Exhibits

Art Exhibits at PVCCThe Center for the Performing Arts Gallery hosts several exhibits annually including shows by faculty and students, a photography open call to the community, and an exhibit of vanguard work at the Experimental Arts Festival. Students enjoy the opportunity to exhibit in the Annual Juried Student Exhibition held each April. The second week of April students may enter up to 5 submissions of art made during the academic year for a modest fee. Entry forms are available in the gallery during the drop–off period. In addition, an annual invitational student exhibit the emerging artist series provides advanced students with a platform to showcase their work to the community. Each fall, there is. Students wishing to participate in the Artists of Promise annual district–wide juried art competition and exhibition may submit 1-5 “Tiff” image files of recent work (completed summer–fall of the academic year) free of charge for consideration. Deadline for submission is 5pm the third Friday in January. Drop off discs and application forms with the Fine and Performing Arts secretaries, first floor, M–bldg East. The exhibit is held off–campus each April and celebrated with a gala reception.

Entry deadlines:

  • Annual juried student exhibition date TBD, second week of April, CPA Gallery, drop off original work
  • Artists of Promise 5pm 3rd Friday in January, M-bldg East 1st floor reception, drop off CD and application
