Don’t delay if you want classes that fit your schedule and your needs. The HUM190 class that meets M/W at 10:30 only has 9 seats left in it! There are three HUM190 (Honors Forum) classes to choose from. If you plan to enroll in the Honors Forum class, HUM190 (which is STRONGLY recommended the first or second semester in the Honors Program) you must do so in person in the Admissions office or via the phone at 602.787.7000. You cannot register for HUM190 on my.maricopa.

· Click on Class Schedule (under the College Guide)
· Click on All (in the Class Schedule Box…be sure to select Spring)
· Under the Drop down bar click on Honors

Student Kudos:
Congratulations to Lyndsey Grinstead, Sierra Schnoebelen, Jeremy Bowker and Tyler Mitchell who presented at the Maricopa Community Colleges Student Success Conference Friday. Their panel discussion about the S.L.I.C.E. (Serve.Learn.Inspire.Change.Educate.) experience was well-received.
Howl-o-Ween Volunteers Recognized
Over 30 PVCC volunteers, including 13 Honors students, dressed as GI Joe, Snow White, zombies, hippies and more to help make Howl-o-Ween at the Phoenix Zoo a huge success over the weekend. John Adams’ groundbreaking and cross-cultural opera Nixon in China depicts the famous diplomatic excursion of the former president to the People’s Republic in 1972. Hear scenes from Adams’ vibrant opera unfold in Symphony Hall.
*Everyone is invited to attend the Musically Speaking discussions before each symphony concert at 6:30pm. The discussions provide enriching information about the evening’s program. The symphony begins at 7:30pm.

NCHC Portz Scholarship
There are many opportunities to recognize and award our Honors student for research and projects. With this in mind, the National Collegiate Honors Council recognizes outstanding undergraduate research with the NCHC Portz Scholarship.
NCHC has routinely offered this scholarship to four year universities, but are now offering one to two-year colleges. Diversity Student Internship
The District is now accepting applications for the Diversity Student Internship Program for the 2010 Spring Semester. The Diversity Infusion Program is again pleased to offer students the opportunity to participate in this exciting professional program as interns. The Diversity Student Internship Program allows students to participate with faculty in the activities of the Diversity Infusion Program. The internship is designed to help students improve their leadership skills, diversity skills, learning skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. In addition, the internship comes with a $250 scholarship each semester the student participates (up to 2 semesters)!

Job Fair seeks Volunteers
PVCC’s Career Services, in collaboration with Congressman John Shadegg's office, are hosting a Job Fair on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 from 9am - 1pm in the E Building. Thirty employers will host booths and workshops and 1000 to 1200 job seekers are expected. PVCC needs help to set up in the morning and tear down in the afternoon, direct traffic to the E-Bldg, and more.
