MLA is the official style guide chosen by the Maricopa Community College District for all English 101 and English 102 courses. This style guide (a manual that dictates manuscript and documentation format for a certain organization or academic discipline) is designed to be used specifically in the humanities but is also widely used by many other disciplines in high schools, colleges, and universities.
