Workshops

Grammar Workshops Schedule

The LSC's Grammar Workshops offer PVCC students step-by-step explanations and practice of the basic rules of punctuation and grammar. The free workshops are taught by English faculty and conveniently located in KSC building classrooms.

Calculator Workshop tutors and schedules These one-session calculator workshops are for students enrolled in MAT090 or higher level math courses that use TI-83 or TI-84 calculators. All workshops are held in Room E190 in the LSC and are limited to a maximum of 15 attendees. Students must sign-up at the LSC front desk prior to the workshop. Learning Support Center (in-house listed below; click here for online resources)

Language Lab Our interactive software allows ESL and foreign language students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Languages available are Arabic, English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.

Learning Resources

Learning resources include videotapes, dvds, science models, computers and software, reference materials, solution manuals, and handouts. Check the learning resources that are available at the front desk.

Stop by the LSC and pick up a tip sheet. There are handouts covering such reading and study skills as taking lecture notes, studying for exams, improving vocabulary, and many more. Tip sheets are also available online.

The college Disability Resource Center (DRC) provides a variety of resources for students with disability, including adaptive technology housed in the LSC.
The Writing Center (TWC) TWC is committed to supporting your efforts to become a better writer. Tutors assist you with grammar, punctuation, thesis statements, research papers, ESL assignments, and many other tasks.

Tutoring is in The Writing Center and is by appointment only. Students may make two appointments (one at a time) every day we're open.
