Introduction
: Titles and program titles need to be constantly redefined, updated, and restated so that significant others in postsecondary education, like administrators, faculty, and public officials are aware of their meanings and the impact that these programs as defined can have and do have on their campuses. Within this section are different definitions of the major academic support terms that are used by college and university administrators, faculty, and staff.

Names of Learning Support Centers: Over 160 different names that institutions are using to designate its learning support center.

Names/Titles of Tutors: This list of 20 names/titles is based on posts to LRNASST-L to answer the question, " What else can one call a tutor?"


Learning Support Centers on the Web: Learning Support Centers are developing campus web sites as a way both to publicize their programs and services to students, faculty, and administrators and to offer on-line diagnostic and tutoring services. This resource includes the web addresses of current learning center web sites, and archives of the annual LSCHE web site awards, and useful references for center webmasters.
