The first known publication
of a set of promising practices for learning support centers
occurred at Winter Institute 2005 in Austin Texas as one of
the Institute presentations.. A
revised set of promising practices
for Learning Support Centers was presented by Frank Christ
at the 2005 NCLCA Conference in Milwaukee as part of a Best
& Promising Practices Workshop. Also at this workshop, Dr,
Johnanna Dvorak(University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee, presented
a set of best and promising practices for Online Tutoring and
Jan Norton, University of Wisconsin/Oshkosh, presented a set
of best and promising practices for evaluation.
