Brad is the Director of the Writing Center and Director of Writing Across the Curriculum at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He believes strongly that students at all levels can benefit from what learning assistance professionals know and teach. He has a strong commitment to professional development for those in the learning assistance field. To these ends, he has published chapters, articles and reviews about writing instruction and writing center administration. He was named to the editorial board of the Writing Cenfer Journal.

With the support of several grants, Brad has pioneered the use of electronic discussions in college courses and now has a web address for his Writing Center.
