The questions, education, and experiences
the participants bring with them make the Winter Institute
a memorable learning experience for all: mentors, presenters,
and participants. The week-long collegiality and networking
are an integral part of the Institute. The participants
are often individuals on a quest for knowledge with a unique
opportunity to discuss ideas and issues with recognized
leaders in the field of learning assistance.
Participants begin each day's program with
an orientation and overview meeting during breakfast, continue
with daily informal meetings, and conclude each day's activities
with a feedback session. Many will meet individually or
in small groups with the one or mentors on topics of interest.
Listed below are the learning assistance professionals
attending the 1998 Winter Institute as participants. Links
to their photos and short biographical sketches have been
created at this year's Winter Institute by the participants
themselves. Please feel free to contact them via their email
links on their Winter Institute Participant web page.
