IV.  Guidelines

The Paradise Valley Community College Self-Study will be guided by several key principles.  It will: 

1.    Focus on the institution as a whole. 

2.   Insure wide involvement from all stakeholders. 

3.   Incorporate existing evaluation and planning committee structures and processes. 

4.    Evaluate the institution rather than describe it.

5.    Maintain ongoing communication to keep all college stakeholders informed and to provide a means for feedback. 

6.    Utilize multiple measures to evaluate the institution.

7.    Use relevant feedback to improve institutional effectiveness. 

8.    Maintain integrity in all processes. 

9.   Document all aspects of the institutional self-study process.
