Plan now for Spring 2010!
S.L.I.C.E is a 3-credit class in partnership with AmeriCorps/Project Ayuda Service-Learning in which students go outside the classroom to apply research, critical thinking and leadership skills to real-world problems.
Fifty students from PVCC, Glendale Community College and Scottsdale Community College will work in four teams during the Spring 2010 semester at PVCC and in San Diego, CA during spring break, March13-19, 2010. These student-lead teams will change your life as you are immersed in the conditions of families who live in poverty, homeless youth, victims of domestic violence, immigrants and refugees as well as the environment.
S.L.I.C.E. is a humanities lesson that encourages you to get involved with community agencies, learn more about social issues and take thoughtful action toward resolving them.
