The Internet and the Web are not the same thing! Internet is the infrastructure that the Web uses.
The Web uses a HTTP a protocol of TCP/IP to communicate between the server and client. HTML is used to layout the information so the Browser can display the information. Refresh your memory about the Internet using my online tutorial

Homework:
You should be reading Chapter 1 & 2 in your book
Find as many resources that will help you "Keep up to speed" in class. You should be able to find at least one page full of resources. (The more resources you find, the better the grade.) Quackit, W3schools and Builder.com and Webmonkey are examples of the type of sites you should be looking for.
You will need to post an article about computers, web, Internet security or e-commerce every week!!!
