Dreamweaver Site Setup Basics

I have not learnered all the quirks of the new dreamweaver yet so this should be a learning experience for everyone!

Setup: You will notice similarities to Core FTP!

Step 1: We setup a site! Give the site a name and a URL for your space: Site Map
Step 2: Tell Dreamweaver we want to use Server Technology and Select ASP JavaScript setup 1

Step 3: Tell Dreamweaver where you are storing your files

(D drive at School)

Step 4: Tell Dreamweaver the address of our server and your User Name

Make sure to Test the Connection and then Uncheck the Save (for the password)

Step 5: Put in the URL of Your Webspace!

The Most important Panel in Dreamweaver is the Properties Panel!
Notice how it changes with the Object you have selected. The default Panel is Text (Font) Property

The second important Panel in Dreamweaver is the Insert Bar !
