Dreamweaver:

Setup a site in Dreamweaver CS5 & 5.5

Local folder is going to be your folder on the E drive

FTP address is e-commerce.pvc.maricopa.edu (just like coreFTP)

Blackboard UserID & Password. (make sure to avoid saving the password)

You should also export the site settings to your Flash drive and your space on the E drive

Setup a site in Dreamweaver CS4

 

CS3 to CS4 is a totally different philosophy. You are forced to use CSS in CS4 instead of it being optional in CS3.

Switching from CS3 to CS4 is a pain if you didn't rely on CSS for CS3.

You need to setup a site (this will remember your settings.) You should save your site on the D drive and on a flash drive.

You might want to switch from Designer mode to Classic (if you are use to CS3)

I would put the content up first and then worry about the layout afterwords!

Review the following:

You should keep a copy of everything you do on the Web even if it is not completed!

You need to create an original graphic (you can combine two graphics together) Make sure you make the graphic a size that is appropriate for the Web (file size small and dimensions so it fits on a webpage easily)

Review in your mind everything we covered in class and remember to cover it again before you go to bed so your mind to process this information while you sleep.
