You must post most of homework on Blackboard. Your Final project needs to be posted on my Website or you need to give me the link to the site you created.
Find as many resources (Books, Websites, Magazines and TV Shows) that will help you "Keep up to speed" in class. You should be able to find at least one page full of resources. (The more resources you find, the better the grade.) Business Week, Business 2.0 and Builder.com and Webmonkey are examples of the type of sites and magazines you should be using.
Provide a power point or Webpage that documents your business. Make sure you cover the points covered on the notes page. Your grade will be based upon how realistic your plan is and how well you covered the basic elements of a business plan. You might want to pretend that I am an investor who you want to get money from.
Provide a power point or Webpage that covers how you are going to market the product you documented in your business plan. Make sure you cover the 4Ps of marketing and a budget for marketing your plan. Make sure you allocate money for Search engine submission fees and ads on the web.
Provide a power point or Webpage that covers which search engines and directories you will advertise on. Identify the Keywords you will be using and how much you plan on spending each and on which search engine.
Identify which social networks you will use and how you plan to get the word out that you site is on the web. I also want to know which organization you plan on getting to link to your site.
I would also like to know what title you plan to use on your site and how you plan to incorporate the keywords into your webpage. A sample of your content (with the keywords) for the main page would be good.
Your final project needs to be a complete website. You should have at least four web pages that link together. You must follow all the rules for good design you identified during the semester. Make sure you have Keywords, title tags and meta tags that help your SEO! I would prefer your site to be a real business or a business you want to start.
