Checking Your MEMO
Disk Space
Each MEMO user has a limited amount of server space allocated
to them. For most of us this is 100 MB. If your account becomes too full
of messages, it begins to perform very slowly and eventually it could become
totally disabled. Prevention is the key here. We need to make sure
our accounts don't become too full. You will want to
keep the amount of space used at less than 70% (70MB) to keep your account running
smoothly. Checking your disk space is one of the functions available in
the MEMO Personal Administration Tool (PAT), so the first step will be
to login to PAT.
- Start your Browser and go to http://pvmail.maricopa.edu.
- Click the Personal Administration Tool (PAT) link.
- At the Location field, click the down arrow to select
Paradise Valley College.
- At the Directory User Name field, enter your name
as it is displayed in the Maricopa Directory (usually Firstname Lastname;
example, Chrystle Hall)
- Enter your Password. If your MEMO password
doesn't work, try the last four digits of your Social Security number or the
word, nothing. If you have difficulty logging into PAT contact IRTS
77780 or Chrystle at 77784.
- Click the Login button.
- Click the PAM button located in the left pane of
the window.
- The right pane of the window will display the Web
Personal Account Manager. Near the top you will see Allotted Disk Space
and the amount of Disk Space Used for your MEMO account.
You should keep the Amount of Disk Space Used below 70% (70MB) to keep your
MEMO account running smoothly. Delete messages you no longer need. Messages
you have filed in folders on pvmail also take up space in your account. Consider
archiving messages you access infrequently by filing them into folders on
Local Mail. Local Mail is space on your computer's hard drive where
you can store MEMO messages.
- To exit from PAT, click the Logout button located
in the left pane of the window.
