What are you planning to do with your MEMO account for the summer?

Note: NOMAIL and AutoReply cannot be used simultaneously.

Logging in to PAT is the first step for either NOMAIL or AutoReply.

  1. Start Netscape. In the Location field of the Netscape Navigator window, enter
    http://pvmail.maricopa.edu.

  2. Click the link for Personal Administration Tool (PAT). The MEMO Personal
Administration Tool login screen will display.

  3. At Location, click the down arrow and select Paradise Valley College.

  4. At Directory User Name, enter your name as it is listed in the MEMO Maricopa
Directory (Address Book). For most people, this is your firstname [space] lastname.
    Example: Chrystle Hall.

  5. At Password, try your MEMO password; then click Login.
If your password doesn’t work, it is probably because this is the first time you have
used the PAT tool and your Password has not yet been synchronized to your MEMO
password, try the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. If that also fails, contact
the IRTS HelpDesk 77780 or Chrystle Hall 77784 and request that your PAT
password be set to the word nothing.

VERY IMPORTANT Once you get into PAT with the password of nothing, you will
need to synchronize your MEMO password with your directory password, so that in
the future you will have the same password for both MEMO and the PAT tool. Follow
the instructions for Synchronizing Your Password at the bottom of this handout before
continuing on to set NOMAIL or to set AutoReply.

    .

reply (only send a single copy to a recipient)
. With this option activated, the sender

    message.

Optional – Activate “Return contents with autoreply message” if you would like to have
the Sender’s original message quoted in the AutoReply message that is sent to them.

Optional – If you would like the Sender to receive an AutoReply more than once, you
may specify how often the same recipient will receive your AutoReply message by
entering the number of days at “Message sent to same recipient every ____ day(s).”
