I came away from my doctor's visit in shock! I had put on weight, and my blood sugar was up. I felt annoyed and wondered how could this happen to me? And then the light bulb came on, I was in denial and had been for the last three years. It was time to join the Fitness Center and change my eating habits. I now eat more fruits and vegetables, pay attention to food labels, and portion sizes. I managed to lose some weight and get my blood sugar down to a good level. I've also had a lot of help and encouragement from my friends and the staff at the PVCC Fitness Center.
